Scope of Medico-Legal Practice

Mr Miller operates a predominantly clinical practice, but also undertakes regular medico-legal work covering all orthopaedic areas, but particularly traumatic injury. He regularly prepares reports solicitors, Transport Accident Commission, Workcover, Department of Veterans’ Affair, Comcare and other providers. He has completed training modules for AMA 2nd Edition Impairment, AMA 4th Edition Impairment, AMA Dermatology Impairment.

When completing the online request form please provide an answer in all boxes prior to submitting. Once you have been provided a booking date and time, please provide all documents at least 10 working days prior to the examination date as this information is collated and reviewed prior to the examination date, This method allows us to provide a more accurate report in a timely manner.

Interview Format

Medico-Legal examinations are usually undertaken face to face at both Carlton and Tasmania locations. Both practices have well-developed protocols to allow assessments to be undertaken via WhatsApp, FaceTime, Skype or Zoom. Please indicate your preference on the booking form.

Desktop assessments and reports based purely on supply of documents are also available.

Court Appearance

Mr Miller provides accurate and comprehensive reports which reduces the requirement for Court appearances. He is however available for Court appearances and pre-hearing conferences. It is imperative that Court appearances are notified in advance and co-ordinated with my practice staff so as to ensure availability. Our practice also has well- developed protocols for Court appearance via Video conferencing and also able to arrange Court appearance if he is on leave either National or International.

Cancellation

Cancellations made less than 8 clear business working days prior to the examination date will incur a cancellation fee of $400 + GST.
